The British School of Falconry in Manchester, Vermont is one of the few schools in the country dedicated to teaching the art of falconry. Sylvia enjoyed an hour long introduction to falconry followed by a "hawk walk" in honor of her birthday. Who knew that taking a hawk out for a walk would be a bit like walking your dogs through the woods. They flew free while we hiked the trails. Very cool experience. And, no, Sylvia never even flinched when those hawks came flying at her. I did have to duck a few times as they went flying by. I guess they don't really like photographers!
